PSG compatibility

This page provides information about the compatibility of various polysomnography (PSG) systems with Resmed devices and software. Use the information below to verify that your PSG system is supported and learn about any specific setup or configuration requirements.

In DC Outputs you can configure each channel and save different channel configurations. The following instructions are the standard setup instructions used by a Resmed installer.

  1. Open Easycare Tx2.

Connect to device in the Connection Manager tab.

  2. In the titration window, near the bottom of the window, click Menu and select DC Outputs.

  3. Record each channel’s output letter (A-F), signal type, low and high value, and voltage range. Keep this information on the screen or write it down.

    Also, note the following:

    • In the bedroom, note the cables plugged into the TxLink 2.

If the lab uses dual cables, then you should see cables in all six inputs.

    • The cables in A+B on the TxLink2 usually connect to Aux 1-2 on the back of the base station.

  4. Configure the channels to your desired settings.

After you configure the channels, to save your changes, at the bottom of the window, click Apply.

Notes

  • The IPAP, EPAP, and CPAP channels must have a low value of 0cmH2O and a high value of 30cmH2O, with a voltage of 0 to 1V.

  • The Leak channel low value must be 0L/min and the high value must be 60L/min with a voltage of 0 to 1V.

  • The Patient Flow channel (or CFLOW) can have a low value of -120L/min (or -100L/min) and a high value of 120L/min (or 100L/min), with a voltage range of -1 to 1V.
